The Dermatologist will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails, as well as cosmetic conditions. This role involves clinical assessment, diagnostic procedures, and various therapeutic interventions to address dermatological concerns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clinical Duties:
- Conduct thorough skin examinations and diagnose a wide range of dermatological conditions, including infections, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, and skin cancers.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as skin biopsies and patch testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including topical medications, oral medications, light therapy, and minor surgical procedures.
- Manage chronic skin conditions and provide long-term care.
- Provide cosmetic dermatology services (e.g., chemical peels, cryotherapy, laser treatments) if applicable.
- Educate patients on skin care, sun protection, and disease prevention.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient dermatological records.
- Collaborate with pathologists for interpretation of skin biopsies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educational Duties:
- Educate patients on skin health and management of their conditions.
- Stay updated with advancements in dermatology, new treatments, and technologies.
