Washington Healthcare Plc (WHC) is a specialized secondary care facility based in Addis Ababa, committed to
delivering high-quality and affordable healthcare services to both local and international communities.
Established in January 2015, WHC has served over 120,000 patients. The center operates 24/7 and is staffed by
experienced Ethiopian, American, and visiting physicians across subspecialties such as cardiology, neurology, and
oncology.
We are currently expanding into a multi-specialty institution on our journey toward becoming a premier tertiary care hospital and medical school. To strengthen our daily clinical operations during this exciting phase of growth, we are looking for dedicated and highly skilled Senior Registered Nurse to lead on the front lines.

Job Description: Senior Registered Nurse
Required No: One (1)
Department:Medical
Reports To:Medical Director
Location: Addis Ababa and Adama
Employment Type: Full-Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and support junior and mid-level nursing staff
  • Ensure high-quality patient care
  • Monitor adherence to clinical protocols and hospital standards
  • Assist in complex patient care and clinical decision-making
  • Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare teams
  • Oversee proper documentation and nursing reports
  • Mentor and train staff
  • Support performance evaluation and staff development
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BSc Degree or above in Nursing or a clinical specialty field of study 
  • Minimum 4 years nursing experience, preferably in an acute care or relevant hospital setting. 
  • Valid professional license
  • Leadership experience is an advantage
  • Regulatory Knowledge(deep understanding of healthcare quality standards)
  • Ability to manage shift scheduling, optimize ward workflows, and ensure proper equipment and inventory levels under tight timelines.
Desirable Skill: 
  • Sharp critical thinking and clinical judgment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high-stress environments calmly
