Job Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for the reliable deployment, maintenance, and security of all IT infrastructure supporting the FAYIDA registration initiative across multiple centers. This role ensures technical operations run seamlessly, data is protected, and system disruptions are minimized through proactive management, technical support, and close collaboration with the employer's (NIDP) technical team.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Deployment & Management:
- Oversee the rollout, configuration, and ongoing upkeep of IT infrastructure, including biometric systems, registration clients, local networks, and databases.
- Ensure all technical components align with the employer's requirements and integrate harmoniously with the broader project ecosystem
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce robust data protection and security protocols across all systems.
- Ensure all data handling and storage practices comply with national privacy regulations and the employer's strict security policies.
Technical Support & Continuity:
- Provide real-time, second-level technical support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues across registration centers to minimize operational downtime.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
Training & Collaboration:
- Assess training needs and conduct sessions for field staff (Supervisors, Officers) on the proper use of IT systems and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with the employer's (NIDP) technical team to ensure IT strategies and operations fully support and advance the project's overall objectives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- MSc or BSc. degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field of study
Experience:
- 6 years of experience with a B.Sc. / 4 years with M.Sc., in IT operations, infrastructure management, and leading large-scale IT projects.
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems, security, network administration, databases, and data storage systems.
- Proven experience in monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting complex IT solutions.
- Experience with digital identity systems and large-scale enrollment operations is highly desirable.
- Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.

- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing technical teams or vendors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface between field operations and employer technical teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and travel to various registration sites as required.
