Job Description
The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization's computer systems, networks, and technology infrastructure. The role involves installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks, ensuring IT security, resolving technical issues, and supporting end-users across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, software, and networks.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Respond promptly to service issues and requests; provide technical support to end-users.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
- Maintain and update system documentation, including licenses and warranties.
- Ensure data security and backup systems are up to date and functioning correctly.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and email systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Assist in planning and implementing IT policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer, System Administrator, or similar role minimum 3 Years’.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS, Office 365, antivirus, firewalls, and backup systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of ERP systems or database administration.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues with hardware, software, and network problems.
