- Persuade merchants to include Safaricom’s SIM when selling their own devices.
- Convert interested merchants into active sellers by guiding them through the bundling process.
- Daily merchant communication
- Engage merchants every day (visits, calls, WhatsApp/SMS, and field follow-ups) to build momentum and resolve objections.
- Provide products and offer updates and ensure merchants remain informed and motivated.
- Benefit articulation & objection handling
- Clearly communicate the value proposition to merchants (e.g., incentives, customer demand, margins, convenience, and smoother activation).
- Handle concerns around pricing, processes, and customer objections using structured responses.
- Performance monitoring
- Track merchant status (identified, visited, onboarded, pending, active).
- Meet daily/weekly targets for activations, partner merchant conversions, and sustained merchant activity.
- Field execution & reporting
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, including merchant interactions, outcomes, and next steps.
- Escalate bottlenecks (e.g., merchant reluctance, process issues, activation challenges) to the relevant team.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with POSM/incentive and operations teams to ensure merchants receive the required materials and support promptly.
- Coordinate with supervisors to refine tactics based on field feedback and results.
